I grew up on the back of a horse. From 4-H to competition to trail riding, I have ridden horses my whole life. But in 2009, everything about my horsemanship changed with an off-the-track Thoroughbred named Treasure, who I was rehabilitating. At that time, I met my mentor, Harry Whitney, and my horsemanship journey was forever changed. Through 16 years of work with Harry, I am guided by his principles and philosophy of working with a horse’s thought to create relaxed, soft, and willing partners.
My focus is on honest horsemanship that puts the equine first, emphasizing strong foundations to carry into every discipline. I believe confidence and relaxation comes through good education. Whether starting a young horse or helping an anxious troubled horse, my goal is to create a horse that is present, focused, and thinking.
I offer full-time training, lessons, and horsemanship clinics. I work with any level, breed, or discipline. If you want to help your horse feel better and are dedicated to learning how, I want to work with you.
